Morning, Day or evening services are available so that work; school and family obligations are not disrupted while clients receive the necessary care to accomplish recovery. This allows the adolescent to attend after school. Weekend substance abuse services, offers clients a Saturday relapse prevention program for those who are having difficulty maintaining abstinence over the weekend and need additional support and structure.
Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment
Our adolescent programs are not just separate from adult services; they are different and always reflect the distinct needs of this population.
The Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP) is the primary treatment program for adolescents with significant substance abuse problems. Adolescents attend two to four days each week after school, stepping up or down in the frequency of attendance as a function of progress in treatment.
The goal of the adolescent IOP is to achieve abstinence, strengthen the family system, and provide both the parents and adolescent with the tools for successful recovery.
Ready 4 Change utilizes the Seven Challenges Model designed specifically for adolescents with substance use challenges, to motivate a decision and commitment to change – and to support success in implementing the desired changes.
Teen Intervention Program (TIP)
TIP is a low intensity early intervention program. The goal of TIP is to provide a short-term intervention that prevents the need for an intensive treatment program. TIP helps recognize the early warning signs of the problem, cultivate adolescent refusal skills, enhance communication, and assist in developing positive relationships and interaction.
